Inspired by the flourish and decline of girl's basketball teams in the 1930's The Tall Girls follows the story of five girls who hope their basketball team will be the way out of Poor Praire, their "grave town." Looming in the distance is Mrs. Hoover's Committee on Play hat is convening in the capital touting that girl's sports are impediments to child-bearing and inappropriate for girls. The show is rated PG-7th grade by the director for mild adult situations.
