It is 1978 at the Bruhl home in Westport, Connecticut, and Sidney Bruhl, a middle-aged playwright of four recent flops, has just received an incredibly promising script from a young former-student, Caren. Encouraged by her husband, Sidney, wrought with jealousy over the incredible piece, invites the young playwright to her house with the intention of collaborating on the play. During the meeting, it becomes apparent that Sidney will not be willing to share the glory and profits with Caren, and the plot thickens as Sidney’s murderous impulses grow. As the plot twists and turns, the biting dialogue paired with perilous situations makes for a classic comedy-thriller sure to humor and thrill.
